Failure to Launch (still living at home with mom and dad?)Ethan Millard's "MOST Dangerous Blogger" slcspin blogsite, is nothing more than dirty laundry

Lyrics to the music of Dirty Laundry....

Ethan make's his living off the evening news

Just give him something-something he can use

Bloggers love it when you lose,They love dirty laundry

Well, he coulda been an writer, but he wound up here

He just has to sound good, with a glass of beer

Bloggers come and whisper in his ear, Give him dirty laundry

Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em all around

We got the bubble-headed Braithwaite who comes on at seven

She can tell you bout the plane crash and how they all went to heaven

Its interesting when people die-Give us dirty laundry

Can we film the operation? Is the little kid dead?

You know, the boys in the newsroom got a running bet

Get the mother on the set! We need dirty laundry

You dont really need to find out whats going on

You dont really want to know just how far its gone

Just leave well enough alone Eat his dirty laundry

His dirty little secrets, his dirty little lies

He's got his dirty little fingers in everybodys pie

He love's to cut you down to size,
He love's dirty laundry

He can do the innuendo, He can dance and sing

When its said and done he hasn't told you a thing

We all know political crap is king

Give us dirty laundry!

Mark,
Sounds like you're the one with a "failure to launch". Only someone childish would waste his time on something so trivial.

Mark, you're psycho.

I can see that you are suffering from a split personality possibly caused by the realization that you have lost your penis. This is the reason you are suffer from "SLCSPIN PENIS ENVY".

You are also distraught that you no longer carry any weight in the Republican Party. They pat you on the back, but the reality is that Mike Ridgway has destroyed your credibility and Orrin and Joe aare not calling you anymore.

Let's face facts Mark;until you realize that there are two or more of you, you will never be able to make love to your favorite person (yourself) again.

Good luck with your recovery.

What credibility??? Carry weight in the Republican Party, I'm nobody in the party, never have been.

As far as Senator Hatch and Joe Cannon not calling me anymore, they never did in the first place.

Have a drink of grape Kool-Aid and call me in the morning doc!

Mark, What do you think of Ethan's handling of the Chris Cannon interview? Did he throw him under the bus? Or, was he just being a good journalist?

Sorry, Ethan, I am one of your Kool-Aid drinkers, but I think you overplayed your hand on that one. (By the way, can I have my time slot back at KSL?)

Hey Lars....

All I think ethan did was show that Chris is not very good at handling question's off the cuff. I think we all agree about that.

Nobody in this world actually thinks Chris Cannon is defending what Foley did and all you Kool-Aid drinkers know it.

With that said, do I think new blood, especially staff changes are required in the 3rd district, Yes! I have always been clear on this issue. I think the maximun any person should hold one office is 12 years, period. This will create a better functioning government with new ideas and refreshing perspectives.

Thanks Mark, I agree. I don't see how anyone could possibly come to that conclusion, or blame Congressman Cannon in any way for this whole mess, but some folks still managed to twist his words into something more controversial than they were. Lets just say that it wasn't the media's finest hour.

And, to Anonymous, I never claimed to be smart, I just claimed to be Lars. Please just smile and roll with it. (I love the Cherry flavored Kool-Aid myself) Thanks, bud.

To LL, the Kool-Aid drinker bit comes from a post I made about supporters of the Republican Dark Lord He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Just like Jim Jones followers, they support their master to their deaths and distruction. I know that some of Etahn's family posts here and maybe that is who I'm really talking too?

In any event, I find Ethan's logic that it's OK to question and harras elected officials, but if anyone questions Ethan's motive's watch out for the flame throwers....

I'm working on a story on Ethan that I will be posting on my site soon...

Mark, You are a decent man. You have a wonderful wife. Your family is great.

Whatever differences you and Ethan have are surely less important than what you have in common. You both have strong testimonies, the Priesthood, noble ideals, etc. You both are also quite imperfect--just like me and our dear friend the Dark Lord. Isn't it time for us all to just forgive, forget, and move on with our lives?

The spirit of contention is the spirit of the devil. He is our true common enemy. You, Ethan and me are actually on the same side. Why don't we join together to actually do some good for our community?

Remember, if we are not one, we are not his!

I hope you will just drop the story on Ethan and take the high road. You both deserve better.

I love you too, Mark. You are my brother and a good person. C'mon buddy, lift your glass and join me in a Kool-Aid toast:

Here's to Ethan Millard, a wonderful young man trying to do some good with his life! Sure, he may hit a bump in the road from time to time--just like you and me--but he's going to be just fine. Let's choose to be his allies, not his enemies!

PS. Another positive about us all making up is that Ethan just might give me my slot back on KSL. (Yeah, I know that's "retarded," but I prefer to think of it as being "special.")

Kissing and making up with Ethan is just fine, but what about the members of his family that have been slurred. It is low to attack a man's family. While I am sure all of Ethan's family love and support him, it doesn't mean they agree with him on every issue or every post. That is because the children in his family were raised to think. None of them are Kool-Aid drinkers for anyone. Apologize and then back off. No blogger would appreciate his family being attacked every time someone disagreed with him. This isn't the first time Ethan's family has come up in a negative and derogatory way. Be a man - win on the merits.

By the way, Ethan reported - he played the whole interview - nothing was taken out of context. Ethan didn't call CNN, they called him. The media frenzy was not of his making. Was it fair? Maybe not. But it did give Cannon an opportunity to really explain his position - which appeared to be lucid and well received. That is a good thing - people being able to truly get their meaning across.

Dear Anonymous, I am sorry, but I honestly do not know what you are talking about.

What slur? What attack on a family member? I am totally unaware of any such thing.

What I do know is that Mark has taken alot of abuse (baiting references, etc.) and so far he is the only one here to extend the hand of friendship. That is what I see.

Now, if I am over-looking something, please make it clear to me. (I'm not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer.) Thanks, my friend.

PS. Ethan, If I can't have my slot back, can I at least hold your clipboard during Nightside Spin on Thursday nights? I could be your assistant!

To Lars Larsen, from a post by Spyglass above:

"To LL, the Kool-Aid drinker bit comes from a post I made about supporters of the Republican Dark Lord He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Just like Jim Jones followers, they support their master to their deaths and distruction. I know that some of Etahn's family posts here and maybe that is who I'm really talking too?"

Sounds like a swipe at his family to me. I don't see anyone calling his wife or brother or mother a Kool-Aid drinker, which has become the put down of the season.

In the same post Spyglass also says:

"In any event, I find Ethan's logic that it's OK to question and harras elected officials, but if anyone questions Ethan's motive's watch out for the flame throwers...."

Again - what gives - everyone who reads this knows that Ethan almost never responds to anyone on his own blog. Those "flame throwers" come from others who find Spyglasses logic and most of all his tactics disingenuous, misinformed or downright mean.

Anonymous Lars Larson said...

Dear Anonymous, Again, my friend, I don't see any kind of swipe by Mark Towner at Ethan Millard's family. Rather, it appears that Mark is simply explaining his use of the expression "Kool-Aid drinker" in response to my statement:

Rush Limbaugh has "Ditto Heads," Jim Rome has "Clones," and those of us who love Ethan are apparently "Kool-Aid Drinkers." May I suggest that we call ourselves KAD's for short?

In the late 1970's a cult leader named Jim Jones had his followers commit mass suicide by drinking poisoned Kool-Aid. Rightfully or wrongfully, Mark apparently sees Mike Ridgway as having the same destructive effect upon his followers. Thus, he calls Mike Ridgway's followers "Kool-Aid Drinkers." Mark was explaining to me that a "Kool-Aid Drinker" is not an Ethan Millard lover, as I had supposed, but rather a Mike Ridgway follower.

Apparently, because of the way I have been interacting with him, Mark doubts that I am either a Mike Ridgway follower or the nationally syndicated radio personality, Lars Larson. Rather, he suspects that I may actually be a member of Ethan Millard's family. Thus, rather than taking a swipe at Ethan's family, he is actually seeing them as being someone who would be nice to him. He was complimenting them.

Now, in order to decode Mark's message correctly, you have to know something about the history of the Salt Lake County Republican Party. If you have been around for a while, you know that the "Dark Lord - he who must not be named" is an obvious reference to Mike Ridgway. You also know that Ethan's mother--a wonderful person--is a former Republican Party Leg District Chair. So, Mark's theory is entirely possible.

Unfortunately, he is incorrect. I am Lars Larson. And, I am a Mike Ridgway lover too, if not an actual follower. So, again, please pass the Kool-Aid and give me back my slot on KSL.

Note: For those of you who don't get the joke, KSL Radio used to air the Lars Larson show in the time slot now occupied by Ethan's new show, the Nightside Project. (I know that Michael Castner thinks that it is his show, and that is perfectly understandable, but it is really Ethan Millard's gig. Deal with it America!)

Dear Governor Huntsman, just because Ethan hopes that you "choke on your silver spoon" and die, die, die, does not mean that he is evil. No, I'm sure that he meant those comments in the most loving way possible.

I, for one, support you. I know that you are merely trying to do what is best for the state, to the best of your abilities. My disagreement with rushing to get a fourth seat for Utah has more to do with Constitutional concerns than with you allegedly drawing non-competitive boundaries. Once the District of Columbia gets a House seat, what rationale could we possibly use to keep them from getting two Senate Seats in the future? (Two new Democrat Senate Seats!)

This is a huge strategic blunder on the part of Utah Republicans. We are greedily rushing after the Democrat Trojan Horse with all our greedy little might. (If “American needs Utah,” then we are in big trouble!) But, what else is new. In the current political climate, we (both Democrats and Republicans) always sell our soul for the immediate short-term political payoff. But, down the road the country suffers for it.

Psssst. Do you think that you could get me a job on the Doug Wright show? I just love that guy.

I will state for the record that I have never, ever implied or said anything negative about Ethan's family. To Ethan's family if somehow I have offended you in any way, I'm sorry and ask for your forgiveness.

My retorts and sharp barbs have always been directed to Ethan who I have felt had a personal grudge against me, especially his cutting commentary regarding He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. It would also appear (grammer usage and style) that several of the annonomous postings have come from people who are very close to Ethan, or Ethan himself.

I would hope we can all bring this issue to a close, and move on.

To LL or should I say Drew C, your annalysis regarding the Kool-Aid reference was correct. It had nothing to do with Ethan or Ethan's family

I can assure you of two things.

1) Carrie Towner would never ever be posting, reading, or wasting one second of her valuable time on this blog site.

2) I am not Lars Larson. Beyond that I have no idea who LL is.

My guess at Drew was only because the poster is a supporter of the He-Who-Cannot-Be-Named, but has been cival to both Carrie and I through this ordeal. If it's not Drew, that's OK as well.
