A Deal!

KSL Nightside just reported that a deal has been struck to build the stadium in Sandy. Groundbreaking is at 10am and David Beckham is supposed to perform the honorary shovel thing. Update: Groundbreaking is at 12 noon.

So is it really deal? Do we really need a stadium just for soccer in Utah?

Let's see, who pushed for this? That's right Republicans. Which state has the highest taxes and fees? Ruby Red Utah. Don't give me that tax and spend crap. Republicans locally and nationally are spend spend and tax cut. Democrats are the party of fiscal responsibility.

I don't think that a single cent of public money should go towards a soccer stadium when Salt Lake County and Utah County both need commuter rail ASAP, as well as expanded trax service.
