umm.. Rocky's not talking to the Deseret News, supplying them press releases, etc?... and that's the same as China incarcerating journalists and/or ordering the media not to publish their work?
That being said, he's being a baby and doing exactly what the Bush administration does (except on a much smaller, more pathetic scale)
I must say that as a DesNews reader, I have enjoyed the silence.

What good is the press unless they are able to hold their government responsible to the people they are supposed to be serving?

sj, if Rocky doesn't talk to the desnews, does that suddenly result in a rocky-anderson-news blackout? since when did they need his help to go after him?

That is a good point, they shouldn't need his comment to go after him, but Natalie said she was enjoying the silence from the DNews, not Rocky. DNews shouldn't be silent about what the mayor of SLC is doing. And, well, they haven't.
What the hell does anything mean any more. When I was a kid you could go to a show and a get a soda for a dime, bitches. I think Rocky is a disgrace and him black balling reporters is evidence enough that he isnt fit to be a part of the checks and balances that SJ's job as a "radio broadcaster" provides. He doesnt deserve anymore press coverage.
Sarah Jane - please do not imply anything other than what I said. If it needs to be interpreted, and someone asks nicely, I can take care of that on my own. I said that as a DesNews reader, I was enjoying the silence. I have not noticed the DesNews covering SL politics and government any less than before the blacklist, nor have I noticed their coverage to be lacking anything except Rocky's rhetoric, which I can do without. So, I am enjoying the silence.
Ah yes, the good old days when you could get a soda and go to the movies for a dime, and kids addressed their elders as "bitches."
