Duplicity

I was present at the Republican Convention as part of KCPW's coverage. Some delegates were confused over two of the major themes of the convention. 1. Keep D.C. under GOP control. 2. Stop insane spending by D.C. crazies stealing your tax money. Nice. Three decades in the Senate, and still no accountability.

I agree with you that delegates were confused. I call it brainwashed. Too many delegates did not use their critical thinking skills whatsoever. I am in the 3rd district and after the nazi Bay Buchanan preached to me I wanted to yell at her to get out of utah and go back to your Libertarian party wherever your from.

McCain's speech made that point blindingly clear. I thought I was the only that wanted to say "excuse me sir, but you all have control of everything in Washington, why don't you tell yourselves to quit spending so much money?" it was bizarre.

That Bay Buchanan thing was a mistake. It was made all the more jarring when they couldn't sync their A/V with Bay's talk. So Bay had to talk over some dumb slide show.

Jacobs definitely had the best DVD. That's a good part of why he made to the primary.

My new mission is to bring rational thought back to the Republican party in Utah.

I was at the convention too and thought Jacob had a good video. Unfortunately, in my opinion there isn't much substance behind the video - meaning Jacob himself. I have yet to hear an original idea from Mr. Jacob.

From what I understand a considerable percentage of delegates left the convention between the first and second rounds. My guess is that if more had stayed Cannon would have have had a much greater percentage. We all know its just the 'nuts' who stick around for the whole boring thing.

And 'Nazi Bay Buchanan' - that's pretty funny if you were there and heard her speech. I think she just stopped short of saying she wanted to tatoo every Mexican with a number on their forearm and send them to forced labor camps in Millard County.

Only the "nuts" stay for the whole thing? You show much about "your" character. When you become a delegate, you take on a responsibility to truly represent your precinct. They ask you specifically at the caucus if you are willing to stay for the whole thing. Just to come and take a quick vote for "your guy" and then high tail it out of there says to me that you are worse than any "nut". Maybe the reason you even want to be a delegate is so that you can go to all the free breakfasts, lunches, dinners and ice cream socials you can. Next time stay home and let the "nuts" who know how to honor a commitment go and get the job done.

I kind of thought Nazis and Libertarians were polar opposites. Did Bay used to be a Libertarian?
