Commenting on Mark Towner's resignation letter, utahconservative brought up an interesting point. Mark Towner copied Republican National Committeeman from Utah Fred Lampropolous, but not Committeewoman Nancy Lord. This brings up another question, Why on earth did Towner copy Senator Orrin Hatch?

Why on earth did Towner copy Senator Orrin Hatch?

Well, he didn't. He CC'd Orin Hatch, which, as we all know, is the replacement, android, Hatch that was put in place by the RIAA, the MPAA and the sponsors of the DMCA, when the REAL Orrin passed away after fatally choking on expensive, lobbyist funded French Cuisine on a lobbyist paid junket flight to China (where he was visiting American steel jobs) last October.

How can none of you see this?

/This is not Mike Ridgway

Duh...Of course he wouldn't send it Nancy Lord. Mark T. knows (just like everyone else) she is out there promoting Mike and has backed him up for years.

The funny thing is no one likes Nancy Lord. Anything she brings before the State Central Committee gets shot down. She is completely ineffective within the state party and offers zero value as the National Committee woman.

She will be overwhelmingly voted out when her term is over.

It doesn't matter that "no one" likes Nancy Lord. She is the sitting national committewoman, I didn't vote for her, but I still think she should have gotten the letter. Why on earth send it to Hacth? Why not send it to Bryan Jenkins and Ronald Levine as well? While he is at it, why not send it to Ken Mehlman and Karl Rove.

Nancy Lord has been very successful within the party. If you have a history in the party, you will remember many resolutions that she has gotten passed. People may not like her because she backs Mike Ridgway, but they vote for her proposals because they make good sense to the average Joe at convention who doesn't have the Ridgway hating baggage. She also just got elected to her city council in a hotly contested race, so someone out there must like her.

Hey - folks can't spell Orin right, but they are spelling Ridgway right. That's good! Everyone deserves at least the respect of having his name spelled correctly. Way to go SLCSpin.

Maybe someone should ask Towner. My guess: Ridgeway wants Orrin's job. But you know what they say about assumptions.

He (and everyone else) knows he can't win the Senate race. His goal is get enough people behind him on the automatic delegate issue...and then run for either GOP State Party Chair or SLCOGOP Party Chair next year.
