What A Baby

Here's what Jim Shea had to say in today's Deseret News: "I tried to play by the rules. It's a shame that the (Utah) Democrats are scared chickens," Isn't it weird how some people just crumble when presented with the possibility of political power only to have it taken away. "And I would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for those pesky kids!" Jim, no matter how much you rant at Democrats, it's your own fault you don't meet residence requirements.

Wayne Holland was hoping to work with Mr. Shea. We would rather find a better solution to this situation.

Also know that we understand that Laura Bonham is the best, and most qualified candidate for this race anyway.

The Democrats also lost potential candidates due to the same rule.

The Democratic Party is solution oriented, we want to find solutions that bring us together, not make divisive comments that pull us apart. Democrats refused to spin the story into a divisive situation.

I predict that Utahns will focus on candidates that bring solutions and optimism to the table; I have great faith that we will.

I am sorry but why is Laura Bonham a better candidate? I find her background sketchy. I would also love to hear her explanation of how she represents the rural farmers in her district. Guns, water rights, etc.

Anon ask her. she'll be doing lots of meet the candidate nights in the next few months. Or, you could sit there wondering and complaining.

Ask any person who has served with Laura on any committee, board, or work situtaion and you will find that she is a professional, dotting every i and crossing every t.

She has been involved in Utah politics much longer than Shea (5 minutes to file and two days of sulking), and she has even voted in Utah.

She could tell you who is who at the Capitol, at this moment could Shea?

There is nothing sketchy about Laura, she will even sign her name after blogging.

She lives in Coalville (I think), so she LIVES in RURAL UTAH! (What a dumb____ anon!)

Write Laura, I bet she will answer you letter without calling you a "chicken".

Now what don't you understand?

All Olympians deeply understand the need to meet requirements before being allowed to even compete in the first qualifying run for their sport. How is it that Mr. Shea doesn't understand this same principle when it comes to politics?

It just seems to me that as a Progressive Democrat, she might not appeal to rural farmers. It has nothing to do with her geographical location. Environmentalist she will appeal to. Farmers- no. John Marlor- you are not helping her case by being snotty about it. It makes her supporters come across as emotional and unprofessional.

I am a Republican and I was opposed to Mr. Shea's breaking the rules after SLCSPIN made me aware of the situation. The Republican Party I belong to stands up to the rule of law.
