Ethics

The Senate should consider that passing the House's ethics reform bills is not an admission of guilt. It's a guarantee against abuse. "Trust us, we're honest guys". The problem is they ask for our blind trust. Face it, they don't give us enough information to warrant our trust. Lobbyist reporting rules are a joke. The conflict of interest forms are toothless. They require no detail and many legislators simply offer a smug "none", as if they have no conflicts of interests because they live in caves.

Ethan just wanted to give you the inside scoop on the County Clerk situation and upcoming race. Sherrie's ghosts are restive. Remember the sexual harassment case from last year? Well, tomorrow the court determines whether it will release the certainly damaging report. If it comes out, everyone will see what Sherrie has been sweeping under the rug.... And while there is blood in the water, a real contender has surfaced in the Clerk's race. Carrie Dickson registered yesterday and will likely announce her candidacy shortly. This perennial GOP trench fighter has been involved in county GOP politics for years on campaigns, as party Secretary, and other roles. Expect a sophisticated, effective campaign exposing Sherrie and her connections to the County Cartel.
