Where's The Message?

On his campaign website, Cliff Lyon (campaign manager for Janneke House) criticized Councilman Jergensen because he didn't launch into a speech against the Iraq War. Instead, at a debate on District 3 issues, Councilman Jergensen said, "That position, that I have, will never be relevant." Which is very true. But it really makes sense for Cliff Lyon to move the campaign in this direction. It's the only direction left for him. After all, the Janneke House "Issues" page reads remarkably like Councilman Jergensen's "Issues" page but with fewer details. This of course is not surprising if you listened to the KCPW debate where Janneke House's responses were summaries of Councilman Jergensen's responses but again with fewer details. So if you're a campaign manager with no real meat against your opponent and nothing really exciting about your own candidate, it makes sense to make grand insinuations about your opponenets religion (that mysteriously don't apply to your candidate of the same religion). And if you're really feeling the pressure, start talking about Iraq.

THE MESSAGE IS: It's still about TRAFFIC, CRIME, MONSTER HOUSES... only this time we have an individual (House) that will do something! All these issues have gotten WORSE under Eric "Preciate Cha" Jergensen.

Refreshing to see this Janneke House come into the race. Nice to have someone who answers questions. She doesn't seem to "lean" anywhere but who she is.

What is Eric Jergensen going to do after he loses this election to this smart woman.

Smart woman? She is taking her cue from a long list of Rocky buddies.

She leans a lot. She leans on the names that have been given her.

I still don't understand how Traffic, Crime, and Monster Houses are the fault of Eric Jergensen. It sounds like the pains of a growing city to me. But hey, if you gotta place blame find someone that you can't blame for anything else.

How is your beloved House going to make sure traffic is cut down? Most of the traffic comes through becuase of people that work in the area. Is House going to somehow make all those people from Davis COunty use the bus? Crime has not increased at all. Have you noticed all the apartment buildings and low income housing? The only monster houses are going up on the hill by people who can afford them. Which translates to more money in our area and better Economy.

House is a great cheerleader for Rocky, but that is about it.

House is Rocky's attempt to rid himself of what he considers a thorn. He doesn't like the fact that Jergensen actually may have the kahonnies to stand up to him.

House may be flying the democratic banner, but Jergensen is a better fit for this community. He is not a Rocky "rubber stamp", thank God!
