This Is RICH!

I'm sitting here listening to Mayor Rocky Anderson on KCPW. He just got finished talking with his panel about the dangers of partisanship. I almost fell over because the Janneke House District 3 campaign was the most bitterly partisan in recent memory. That's amazing because it's a non- affiliated race. UPDATE: Mayor Anderson's panel is dressing him down for criticizing Congressman Matheson.

There are dangers and then there are values of partisanship.

Just because you use a partisan affiliation to identify yourself or others as having a particular value set is not a "danger."

Matheson deserves to be criticized because he has forsaken some core Democratic values in order to fend off the Republicans who come nippin at his heels every two years.

Shawn, I get the difference between "dangers" and "values" of partisanship. But in the House race, she wasn't merely "identifying" herself. She (or whoever was talking for her) was hoping that enough Democrats would place "value" ONLY in her being a Democrat, otherwise, her ideas, her values, her positions would have identified her. They didn't so the gang used partisanship as a weapon. That's dangerous.
