Like A Wheel

It began with a recorded phone call by Mayor Anderson and it's ending with a letter from Mayor Anderson. Cliff Lyon invited me to comment on Mayor Anderson's final contribution to their campaign, but I'm not a candidate in this race. Though I'm flattered by the invitation. You can read Councilman Jergensen's response to the entire opera of Mayor Anderson's er Cliff Lyon's er I mean, Janneke House's accusations. Perhaps I shouldn't call it the "entire opera" because notably absent is a response to Janneke House's campaign's confusing "Mormon Bogeyman" play. He knows he doesn't need to respond. "Gutter Politics" should stay in the gutters. Which is where Slcspin lives.

It has been sad to see Janneke throw away all of her integrity because Cliff Lyons or Rocky Anderson tells her to. I don't care who is writing her stuff, her name is on the masthead. It's her stuff. She has denigrated from a young candidate with possibilities, to a harpie. Her shrill and often erroneous attacks on Mr. Jergensen are gutter politics. The Republicans rejected this type of campaigning when John Swallow allowed his campaign "managers" to convince him to make personal attacks against Jim Matheson. I hope the Democrats (Mayor Anderson is hoping that you are all genuflecting at the altar of partisan politics) reject this type of campaigning as well. She hasn't interjected a single new idea or issue and on most issues she would do just what the incumbent has done. With nothing to really recommend her, she has turned to ugly, and I do mean ugly, accusations and insinuations. This type of disgusting campaigning should put a nail in her political coffin, unless the Democrats have no integrity either. (I don't think that's the case.)

Ethan,

I've had enough! After recieving deeply disturbing blatantly dishonest literature from the Janeke camp I printed several pieces from your blog to share with neighbors. I only hope it isn't to late to get the TRUTH out. Keep up the good work!!!

Hey Cliff! Did I mention that I saw Janneke at church on Sunday? It was a mormon church. And guess what she did! She took the sacrament!!

Watch the Mormon talk buddy. Your candidate is one, or at least professes to be one and then does the exact opposite. Wait a second....isn't that what all of you 'liberals' do?

Ethan-

I have endorsed Eric on my blog, mostly do to the people (mostly Cliff Lyon) that Janneke has surrounded herself with.

Cliff is in my sights, and I'm ready to strike.

I'll give an additional $100 for Cliff to come tell me to my face that I'm a bad Democrat.

There have been some accusations that Eric has used his ties to the Church inappropriately (using ward lists). I understand that Janneke is campaigning at the ward house on Sundays. Asking people what they think of her campaign and if they are going to vote for her. I don't happen to think it is sinister. I happen to think it once again emphasizes her youth, her naivete and her ineptness for the job.

Hey, here is another fun fact... Eric is a conservative Republican. He uses the LDS church whenever it benefits him... remember he can't answer any question straight... but he does get in that "Preciate Cha"!!!

Read Eric's response. He just dignified the existance of a new and young candidate. This was a most embarassing defense of his record... not very convincing... Eric Jergensen at his worst and on his heels.

Cliff has pulled Janekke in the wrong direction. Janekke must have seen that people on her staff were not telling truths and are more about gaining power than being of service. Does Cliff have the power to hypnotize? Maybe, but these ROVE like techniques from the House campaign don't show the maturity needed to deal with Anderson (Rove like, not Rove-ish, Rove is much more cunning than Cliff). Eric has been upfront and is the best candidate.

Good luck to both candidates.

Actually, I am NOT a "conservative." I, in fact, am a liberal. I am Bob Aagard, founder of Mormons for Dean, and ran for secretary of the Salt Lake County Democratic Party. I also endorsed/Supported Jan Lovett for Chair of the State Party. (Jan is a campaign staffer of Jannmeke's.)

I'm sure the Book of MOrmon ranks fairly high on Janneke's favorite books list. Also, Mr Lyon also lives in Holladay.

Someone relieved my campaign office of its three Janneke signs on 8th East and South Temple. Too bad they did it a day early.

Sad that politics can be so petty.

Ethan,
as much as you and I differ on politics, I'm truly sad to see this site disentegrate into ridiculous baiting.
Clearly it's not all your fault, but sad none the less.

/Maybe tomorrow we can go back to civilized discussions?
//yeah I do TRY to be civilized
