Rocky is going to embarrass us again. I can never remember a Mayor actively protesting the President while he visits a city. This is outrageous. I have a story about it in my blog. Check it out if you like.

Anderson isn’t embarrassing Utah. The state’s blind support for Bush is embarrassment enough.

furbootie, are you actually saying that Utahns support Bush without reason? That is an insult. Just because it doesn't make sense to you, or you don't support it, doesn't mean others are unintelligent to follow. I think your stance is outright arrogant.

I have a followup on Rockystock and Email-Gate. Rocky has some questions to answer about his emails. I also have a poll on who you support. The Rocky protestors or the Bush supporters. Check it out.

Everyone who supports a particular point of view has their reasons. Anyone who generalizes another group is self absorbed and arrogant. I base my “blind support” statement on the following reasons … 1) Bush is not supporting the returning Iraq Veterans. A lot of them are returning without the VA support and benefits they deserve. This state has strong support for the military yet almost all are silent on this issue. 2) Bush is spending millions of dollars on civilian contractors in Iraq. Most of them are better armed that the men and women sent to rescue them when they get in trouble. 3) Bush supports the use of Nuclear energy … where do you think they will put that waste.

I can not understand why Utah blindly supports Bush when not all of his policies are reasonable. Yes, I am arrogant. Have 7 family members serving in Iraq gives me that privilege.

Let me clarify my position. (I didn’t edit this before I submitted it sorry.) Utah is a strong hold for the Bush Administration. Not all but the largest majority of any other state in the Union. This despite several administrative policies that affect those issues of great concern to this state … military, veterans and nuclear energy. It baffles me that this state is quiet on those issues. I have 7 members of my family honorably serving in Iraq and I am horrified that states who support Bush are screaming for him to “support returning troops” I am horrified by Bush supports who are easily distracted by his rhetoric. Why aren’t people screaming for this administration to address these issues? Why is Utah blindly patting him on the back and giving him “atta boys”! I have 7 family members who will be returning from Iraq and I am steadfast in my position and can not understand Utah’s silence … I can not understand how Utah is looking the other way … This to me is BLIND SUPPORT.

I am arrogant and self absorbed. I want this administration to address my concerns. I want people in my state to call him out on these policies. I want Bush to put his money where his mouth is and I will hold him accountable. Why isn’t Utah doing the same?

I don’t understand why Utah isn’t questioning him about his nuclear policies … come on people where you think he is going to put the waste.

Someone explain the silence on these issues. Someone explain to me the “atta boys” and the support given to such a president.
