Let It Go

Please, please, please let this be the last we hear of how Roger Ball, blah blah blah, only thirty minutes, blah blah blah, so unfair, blah blah blah. Now we have former state representative Beverly White showing up in both papers today to make the same points we've all memorized now, and let everyone know that as a former member of the blah blah blah (snore) committee, she personally demands an explanation. Good for her. For everyone's benefit and Ms. White , I'll provide the explanation. Roger Ball was fired because the Governor wanted someone else to do his job. Now, move on PLEASE!

There was a even bigger tiff about this on the open forum at the Law School since his daughter attends SJ Quinney.

I don't know about the merits of the decision, but you have to admit that it was tactically a bad move for Huntsman.

For a "diplomat," he really hasn't been very diplomatic with handling personel or the legislature.

I think you're right that it was a bad move on his part. Perhaps that's why it's getting so much play. He was so quiet and squeeky clean at the legislature. It's like there's a certain amount of negative public attention reserved for the governor, and now this is the only topic to fill it.

I know it's not totally analogous, but I used to be a commodity analyst/broker, and the understanding where I worked was, the moment you quit security would come and escort you out of the building and they would deliver a box of your personal belongings to you outside. It was nothing personal. Just the nature of the business. It would certainly never occur to us that our feeling should be hurt or that life was unfair.
